The Middle of Nowhere

Four year old Chloe asked, "Why are there houses only on that side of the street?" Her clever father answered, "Because we are in the middle of nowhere." Chloe was silent the rest of the drive. On the way home she insightfully said, "I know why the houses are on that side of the street! Because over there (the side with no houses) is 'No' and this is 'Where'!"
